Oracle WebCenter

Oracle WebCenter Suite, a new offering in Oracle's Fusion Middleware product line, is an integrated suite of products designed to deliver a unified, context-aware user experience specifically targeted at needs of information workers. Oracle WebCenter Suite allow users to interact directly with services like instant messaging, documents and content, voice over IP, discussion forums, and wiki directly within the context of the application. The user doesn't merely pass through the application to get to the service; they are integrated as a native part of the application.

Oracle WebCenter Suite is the first product to incorporate the tools and services that can be used by developers to create context-rich applications needed by today’s information workers. It provides a natural user interaction environment for SOA applications and allows you to leverage all types of services in creating a better, more effective user experiences.

Oracle WebCenter Suite is a stand-alone product but it is also being used to serve as the default interface for Oracle’s next generation applications which are due in 2008.
