The Oracle Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Initiative is an Oracle strategic initiative designed to enable expert partners to help Oracle customers grow their business by leveraging the SOA capabilities of Oracle Fusion Middleware. Set up in 2006 to share best practices in SOA and contribute to Oracle SOA strategic plans, the Oracle SOA Initiative is open only to Oracle partners with proven SOA delivery capabilities willing to collaborate with Oracle to further the awareness of SOA.
Griffiths Waite was invited to participate in the Grid Computing Now! initiative shortly after its formation. GCN! is a DTI - funded Knowledge Transfer Network concerned with the development and deployment of grid computing and service oriented architecture. Its mission is to secure UK commercial leadership in the provision and exploitation of Inter-Enterprise Computing and help build a market for SOA and Grid. In addition to Griffiths Waite, GCN!'s exclusive network of members include representatives from IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, BT and a number of respected industry and government bodies. Griffiths Waite has been invited to speak at a number of GCN! events to promote the value of SOA and regularly contribute to Thought Leadership workshops.
TOGAF - The Open Group Architectural Framework is the emerging standard for Enterprise Architecture. Having established a key foundation in Business and IT architectures TOGAF has now established an SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) working group that is starting to define the architectural frameworks and standards around SOA and the related Ontology's. Griffiths Waite is a contributing member of the main TOGAF workgroup and the SOA project team. This allows Griffiths Waite to be synergistic with the leading edge thinking and developments in Enterprise Architecture and SOA development. Hence, providing effective leadership and advice to our clients on the Enterprise Architecture Strategies and SOA roadmaps.
